Sunshine is not bad as far as science fiction stories go, but after seeing what Danny Boyle did here, I'm sort of glad that he stuck to producing the 28 Days Later followup and didn't direct it also.
This Sunshine story is kind of loopy. And Cillian Murphy provides an unlikely hero with that face only a mother could love.
This story seems to have bits and pieces of many other sci-fi tales, and whether they are meant to be homage or just ill-inspired interpolations, I haven't yet decided.
